What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Bridge Engineer position at Horrocks?

Compensation: $120,000 - $170,000 / year

What are the core responsibilities for the role?
- Prepare or lead structural design, analysis, studies, reports, plans, specifications, and quantity tasks for transportation structures
- Experience in bridge designs and load ratings using spreadsheets, finite element software and/or other bridge and CAD software (Excel, CSI Bridge, OpenRoads, OpenBridge, AASHTOWare BrR, Leap Products, etc)
- Experience with the design of multiple bridge types in concrete and steel, wall systems, and minor structures
- Establish and maintain client relationships; ensure client satisfaction; ensure client objectives are met
- Experience with AASHTO LRFD, AISC, ACI, and other North American design codes
- Strong people skills and an ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment
- Structures lead for projects, coordinating staff and design efforts
- Coordinate with other discipline leads
- A desire to grow personally and professionally with each project while working in a team environment to create designs and drawings supporting our client's overall project goals
- Registered Utah PE License, or ability to obtain with 6 months after hire
- 8 to 12 years of experience in transportation structures design
- Willingness to work on projects locally or in workshare with other offices. Some travel may be required--<10%
- Design Build and Alternative Delivery experience a plus
- Must be able to work effectively as a team leader in a group environment and maintain positive relationships with team members and clients
