Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) is a two -year community/technical college that offers more than 75 associate degree, diploma, and certificate programs for students who are either seeking quick entry into the workforce or desiring to transfer to a senior institution to pursue a bachelor’s degree. HGTC offers three convenient campus locations in South Carolina, including Myrtle Beach, Conway and Georgetown.
The Academic Affairs Department at Horry-Georgetown Technical College is seeking applications for a AVP Academic Affairs/Dean. The Assistant Vice President/Dean will serve as a senior administrative leader, providing innovative academic leadership and strategic direction across the College's three campuses and off-site locations. This role involves overseeing the initiation, development, implementation, quality assurance, and evaluation of programs, curricula, and courses that lead to career and transfer opportunities. The AVP/Dean will advocate for the College's mission and growth by ensuring the delivery of effective, efficient, and high-quality educational services to the community and students. Additionally, the AVP/Dean will facilitate divisional administration through teamwork, consensus building, communication, and mentoring to advance teaching and learning.
$108,182 (Minimum)- $137,460(Midpoint)
Master's degree plus five (5) years of progressively responsible related work experience.
Ph.D. in a related discipline plus 7 years of progressively responsible leadership in an academic setting. Strong and innovative leadership with the ability to lead and motivate teams, communicate effectively, foster a positive work environment with stakeholders, identify effective solutions, and make data-driven decisions to support students and faculty.
