Position Summary:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial gears and gear drives or relevant industry end user experience in power transmission gear applications and will be responsible for growing sales in the region. The District Sales Manager will have a strong understanding of the local market and be able to build and maintain relationships with key customers in the Roscoe, Rockford, Chicago, and Milwaukee areas.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a customer base in the region for the sale of industrial gears, new gear drives, and gear drive repair services.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential customers and opportunities for growth.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including OEMs, distributors, and end-users.
- Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to ensure that customer needs and requirements are met.
- Provide technical support to customers, including troubleshooting, training, and product demonstrations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities, including customer information, sales volume, and other relevant data.
- Attend industry trade shows and events to represent Horsburgh & Scott and promote its products and services.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of three to five years of experience in industrial sales, preferably in the industrial gear, repair or power transmission industry.
- Strong understanding of industrial gears, new gear drives, power transmission products and gear drive repair services.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Fluency in Spanish and English is required.
