Description:
The Production Line Lead will oversee manufacturing activities within their assigned production line. This role is a hands-on position that includes heavy involvement in production on the line in addition to administrative tasks. This position works directly with employees on training and development to support the needs of their production line.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently assemble machines that are up to par with rigorous quality standards.
- Lead and manage a team.
- Assist with training team members.
- Manage machine jobs using the company operating system, including releasing jobs and any necessary deviations.
- Set weekly and daily goals and communicate those goals to the team.
- Manage the employee time clock to ensure accurate labor recording.
- Manage employee schedules for changing demands to meet deadlines.
- Adhere to and enforce all company policies and procedures, including those related to quality and safety.
- Assist with disciplinary action when needed.
- Locate, interpret, and follow engineering prints and assembly instructions.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Responsible for the management, use, and care of company tools.
- Train and become certified in the use of forklifts, cranes, and other necessary machines.
- Use company procedures to manage the replacement of damaged or defective parts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Hands-on agricultural equipment assembly skills.
- Leadership abilities, including directing and motivating differing personality types.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Teamwork-oriented.
- Computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented.
- Able to both give and receive direction, with or without supervision.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
· Individuals may need to sit, walk, or stand for extended periods.
· The position may require reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist, or lifting up to 50 pounds. Proper lifting techniques are required.
· The performance of this position will require exposure to manufacturing areas where the use of personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses with side shields, is required.
