What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host/Hostess position at Horse and Hounds Restaurant and Pub?
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Seat guests and manage the seating chart to ensure proper rotation and maximum occupancy
- Answer phone calls and take reservations or provide information to callers
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the host/host station
- Collaborate with servers and management to ensure smooth operations
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and concerns promptly
Requirements:
- Strong guest relations skills with a focus on hospitality
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Previous experience in a hotel or restaurant setting is preferred
- Ability to multitask and handle high-pressure situations with ease
- Familiarity with POS systems, preferably Aloha POS, is a plus
