Job Summary:
As a Client Service Representative (CSR), you will be the first point of contact for our clients and their pets. Your role is essential in ensuring a welcoming and professional experience, handling phone calls, scheduling, maintaining records, and assisting both clients and staff with day-to-day operations.
Job Expectations:
- Client Communication: Professionally share medical information, policies, and fees.
- Telephone Etiquette: Use proper business phone skills and handle multiple lines.
- Work Ethic & Dependability: Arrive on time, manage tasks efficiently, and be reliable.
- Animal Handling: Comfortably and safely assist with patient handling.
- Technology & Invoicing: Utilize Shepherd software for record-keeping and invoicing.
- Teamwork & Attitude: Maintain positive coworker relations, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
- Time Management: Prioritize tasks, multitask, and work efficiently under pressure.
- Knowledge of Services: Understand and communicate hospital services effectively.
- Safety First: Follow all safety protocols and hospital guidelines.
Essential Duties:
- Welcome clients and assist with patient check-ins.
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and relay messages.
- Process client payments and update client records.
- Maintain a clean and stocked lobby area.
- Assist with appointments, surgeries, and euthanasia procedures.
- Escort owners to their vehicles when needed.
- Facilitate communication between clients, technicians, and veterinarians.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of two years of customer service experience (veterinary experience a plus).
- Skills: Strong communication, computer proficiency, organization, and multitasking abilities.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and remain active throughout the day.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Pay Range: $16.88 - $19.00 per hour
