Part-Time Weekend Veterinary Assistant – Experienced Only
Location: Horse Heaven Hills Pet Urgent Care – Kennewick, WA
Position: Part-Time Veterinary Assistant (Weekends Only)
Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years in a veterinary setting
Horse Heaven Hills Pet Urgent Care is looking for an experienced Part-Time Veterinary Assistant to join our team on weekends! If you are passionate about patient care, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are looking for a supportive and skilled team to work with, we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist veterinarians and licensed technicians with exams, treatments, and procedures
- Provide compassionate care and handling of patients
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms and treatment areas
- Monitor and assist with hospitalized patients
- Educate clients on proper pet care and treatments
- Assist with lab work, diagnostics, and basic patient care tasks
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the hospital
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a veterinary assistant in a clinical setting
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong animal handling and restraint skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Availability to work Saturdays and Sundays
- Comfortable assisting with emergency and urgent care cases
