Assistant Swim Team Coach

- Assistant ASA Summer League Swim Coach
- Ensure development of swimmers
Day To Day
- Work successfully with club management and members
- Work effectively with children ages 4 - 18 years and their parents
- Develop HBCC swimmers full potential through refined stroke technique and training
- Maintain a positive attitude and set an example of good sportsmanship
- Assist in growing a program that meets the needs of novice, competitive and elite swimmers
Candidate Experience and Qualifications:
- Current First Aid/CPR and Lifeguard Certification
- Minimum American Swimming Coaches Association Level 2 Certification
- Clear background screening and positive references
- Solid competitive swim coaching experience with demonstrated technical expertise
- Must be available to start May 2025
- General computer proficiency
- Proficiency in stroke mechanics and teaching strokes at all levels
- Motivational and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills with both swimmers and parents
- Ability to develop positive relationships with swimmers, families, and other coaches
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing and repetitive actions.
- Bending, stooping, lifting.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- CPR/First Aid Certified
Position Classification and Expected Hours of Work
This is a seasonal, full-time position (late May through the end of swim season). Days and hours of work include a minimum of a five-day work week. Work hours include holiday and weekend hours.
