Director of Finance
The Horsham Water & Sewer Authority is accepting applications for the position of Director of Finance.
Job Description :
The work will be out of the HWSA administration building located at 617 Horsham Road, Horsham, PA 19044. Candidates will be expected to provide leadership and perform necessary functions related to managing the financial functions of the Authority. Employee in this position is responsible for the administration of all activities pertaining to receipt, custody, and control of Authority funds. This employee will perform day-to-day accounting, maintenance of general ledger, financial reports, accounts payable, investment strategy and payroll activities, legal and regulatory compliance as well as some labor relations and personnel related functions. Work requires the exercise of independent judgment and discretion and the application of general knowledge of Authority organization, programs, and municipal accounting. Maintain an exceptional level of ethical behavior and honesty. Work collaboratively as part of a management team aimed at continuous improvements.
Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Finance or Accounting, or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Minimum of five years of experience in municipal finance with a management role. Position is classified as exempt and requires working in a 7 day a week operation with regular hours being Monday through Friday. Work outside of normal business hours could entail but is not limited to attending public meetings, assisting in emergencies, and representing the Authority at community events. Willingness to comply with all aspects of the Pennsylvania Public Official and Employee Ethics Act. A valid Pennsylvania drivers license. CPR & First Aid certified after 6 months of employment. Willingness to submit to a criminal background check.
Compensations / Benefits :
Annual Salary range starting will be commensurate with experience. Comprehensive and robust benefits package.
