Maiantenance Technician - Apartment Community

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of facilities, ensuring that all systems are functioning efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of maintenance procedures, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly. The Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and productive environment. Position requires technician to be in the on call rotation covering evenings, weekends & holidays.

Experience & Duties

• Previous experience in apartment maintenance or a related field is required.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, appliances. Drywall - Finishing - Trim Work
• Complete work order requests efficiently and in a timely manner with no call backs.
• Complete all work to prepare apartments for new resident(s) at time of turnover.
• Ability to move and install appliances
• Gutter cleaning & repair (Must be capable of climbing and working from a ladder)
• Ability to shovel or use a snow blower for snow removal.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal, for clear communication with residents, team members, contractors and management.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on maintaining high standards of quality.
• Perform regular inspections and maintenance on equipment and facilities to ensure optimal performance.
• Utilize tools such as an ohmmeter to diagnose electrical issues and read schematics for troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• Execute residential painting projects, maintaining aesthetic standards throughout the facility.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report any significant issues to management.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment at all times.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
