What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shop Manager position at Horton Electrical Services, LLC?
This role involves managing the receiving and shipping of supplies, organizing inventory, and performing minor vehicle maintenance.
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments and returns, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments for delivery.
- Organize and maintain inventory, keeping the warehouse tidy and efficient.
- Coordinate materials for the field personnel and job sites.
- Assist with minor maintenance repairs/tasks on company vehicles.
- Support the team with documentation related to shipping and receiving.
- Ability to document inventory, repairs and tasks in detail.
- And any other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse with forklift experience.
- Basic mechanical skills and interest in vehicle maintenance.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Minimum computer skills necessary
- Ability to lift and move heavy items safely, up to 75 lbs. with assistance when necessary.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new tasks, particularly in generator technology.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- DOT Medical card/medical examiner’s certificate (MEC) preferred.
- Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle and able to move and/or tow light equipment.
- Capable of basic tool repair.
- Ability to climb stairs.
