We are seeking a skilled Senior Electrical Estimator to join our team to manage and prepare project estimates while maintaining a high level of quality control in the estimating process using industry best practices, processes, and procedures in the service of existing customers and while developing new business opportunities with customers, architects, engineers and vendors.
Key Responsibilities:

- Understand Horwitz's vision and goals within the Electrical Department and company-wide.
- Use estimating software and best practices to ensure accurate project estimates, budgets, and plan alignment.
- Maintain customer relationships and actively seek new business opportunities.
- Monitor costs versus estimates to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist with procurement and submittals, including negotiations for materials and subcontractors.
- Participate in project hand-offs and maintain communication with project teams.
- Ensure project managers understand key assumptions and requirements.
- Protect company interests in contract negotiations with customers and vendors.
- Verify tax requirements and monitor market trends to mitigate cost increases and procurement delays.
- Collaborate with other departments to assemble competitive bid proposals.
Skills and Experience:
- 5-8 years of experience in commercial and industrial electrical estimating.
- Bidding software knowledge preferably Accubid and/or EBM software
