Duties
- Launder and dry clean linens, towels, and uniforms according to established procedures.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and store laundry items efficiently.
- Operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and effectively.
- Inspect items for stains or damage before laundering and report any issues to management.
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area by following sanitation guidelines.
- Ensure proper handling of chemicals and cleaning supplies in accordance with safety standards.
- Assist with inventory management of laundry supplies and notify management when stock is low.
- Collaborate with housekeeping staff to ensure timely delivery of clean linens and garments.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a laundry or hotel environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with laundering techniques, including dry cleaning processes.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
- Must be able to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
