Position: Facilities Associate
Team: Central
Reports to: Facilities Manager
Status: Non-Exempt - 25 hours/week
The Facilities Associate is responsible for building operations, including structural components and equipment installation, maintenance and repair to ensure facility safety and efficiency of operations (all campuses). In addition, this position is also responsible for a clean, safe and inviting environment by supporting ministry programming with activity and event set-up, tear-down and responding to requests for facility assistance. Some of these assignments may be conducted through 3rd parties, so oversight of work scope, vendor performance and quality become the focus.
Requirements
- Maintain and repair building structures and equipment; including, but not limited to, all electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems, fountains and baptismal pools. Fulfills work orders for maintenance and repairs using the assigned work order system.
- Assist in maintaining indoor and outdoor cleanliness and safety of all Hosanna! campuses, creating a presentable and inviting environment.
- Assist with all ministry programming set-up and tear-downs as assigned.
- During inclement weather, ensuring sidewalks, walk-way, access points and fire exits are clear of debris, snow, ice, or other hazards. Ensure the building(s) are securely locked and alarm systems are armed nightly
- Assist in the development, coordination and implementation of building and grounds projects with a focus to minimize distractions, while adhering to general policies and procedures.
- Respond to emergency situations to support safety and security protocols and procedures. Following guidelines and policies including certification for equipment use and building access systems. Participate on the Emergency Response Team (ERT).
- Responsible for recruiting, developing, equipping, encouraging and leading volunteers and/or team of volunteers where appropriate within the ministry.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree - preferred or technical degree/technical certification
- Experience/skill in custodial or with in custodial and or maintenance - preferred

Working Conditions & Physical Demands
- Schedule will include working evenings, weekends, and extended hours as required by ministry needs. This includes Christmas Eve and Easter.
- Typical hours will be split between weekdays and weekends/evenings.
- Availability for on-call rotation is required.
- Extensive standing, walking and sitting for extended periods of time for a shift.
- Repetitive keyboard and mouse movements requirements.
- Able to set up and take down tables, chairs, and equipment. Able to lift 50 pounds as necessary for production equipment.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with no driving restrictions. Able to drive between campuses, deliver products, pick-up products from vendors, etc.
- Ability to operate various equipment, including blowers, tractors, mowers, etc.
- Extensive physical work, including, but not limited to twisting, bending, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Requires ladder and lift work, including working on rooftop or other high areas.
A mature faith, a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, commitment to the Teaching Statement and ministries of Hosanna, a signed Hosanna Leadership Covenant, and submission to Biblical authority along with membership in the congregation and worship at Hosanna are requirements for all employees.
