Hosco Shift Inc. - Confluence Farms is dedicated to sustainable agriculture, community-supported agriculture (CSA), and providing fresh, locally grown produce to our community.
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Farm Manager to take a hands-on leadership role in overseeing the daily operations of our farm. This individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of crop production, including planning, planting, cultivation, and harvesting, while ensuring sustainable and regenerative farming practices. Additionally, the Farm Manager will oversee the Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program, coordinating harvest schedules, packaging, and distribution to ensure members receive high-quality, fresh produce. This role requires a strong leader who can mentor farm staff, train volunteers, and engage with the community to promote local agriculture and food justice initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in farm management, a deep understanding of sustainable agriculture, and the ability to balance hands-on farm work with strategic planning and operational efficiency
Key Responsibilities:
Farm Operations Management
- Plan, plant, and manage crops using sustainable and regenerative agricultural practices
- Oversee soil health, irrigation, pest management, and overall farm maintenance
- Operate and maintain farm equipment and infrastructure
CSA & Market Management
- Manage the Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program, including crop planning, harvest schedules, and member relations
- Oversee packaging and distribution of CSA shares
- Coordinate with markets, restaurants, and other buyers for produce sales
Team Leadership & Training
- Supervise and mentor farm staff, interns, and volunteers
- Develop and implement efficient workflows for planting, harvesting, and distribution
- Ensure safety protocols and best practices are followed
Business & Financial Oversight
- Manage farm budgets, expenses, and inventory
- Track production, yields, and sales for reporting and strategic planning
- Apply for grants and funding opportunities to support farm sustainability
Qualifications:
- Experience in farm management, sustainable agriculture, or a related field
- Knowledge of CSA programs, crop planning, and organic/regenerative farming practices
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to operate and maintain farm machinery and tool
- Experience with budgeting, record-keeping, and business planning in an agricultural setting
- Passion for community engagement and food justice initiatives
