Leads, directs, and controls the day-to-day activities of our Company owned Distribution Center along with satellite facilities to achieve the short and mid-term financial and operating objectives set by the overall organization business plan. Provides direction to the organization, defines/drives critical business opportunities, and needs, exercises power responsibly. Develops promising individuals to prepare them for leadership roles. Represents the organization on critical and strategic issues. Ensures that quality processes are developed and controlled. Responsible for developing objectives, policies, procedures, and budgets. Provides comprehensive support for distribution center operations including but not limited to training, product changes, pricing, promotions, and issues that require escalation. Serves as a liaison between the corporate office and field sales.

- Responsible of compliance of safety policies in all locations under this position Region.
- Work towards exceeding targets for on time delivery, drop ships, FIFO, and operational cost.
- Supports sales by developing and improving sales processes, strategies, systems, and policies. Performs a variety of activities related to the day-to-day operations of sales function, such as assisting coordinating territory/region assignments, and measuring productivity.
- Develops tools to track group and individual progress and performance. Streamline operations processes to increase efficiency.
- Working closely with Sales Management and Finance to proactively identify and address process gaps and areas for improvement.
- Implementing and enforcing processes, infrastructure, and tools that enable success, smooth collaboration with adjacent departments.
- Delivering process training to new hires and reinforcing processes to Operations team via regular communication and clear documentation
- Working cross-functionally to create policy, process, and procedures to drive and support critical business priorities.
- Assisting in the management and continuous improvement of sales operational processes and systems.
- Provides overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of direct report employees which may include other team members associated with Sales Ops group.
- Tasks include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Carries out these responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable law.
Bachelor's degree in business, Finance or Marketing and a minimum of six years of sales operations experience with at least two years' experience in an analytic role within one or more of the disciplines of Sales, Marketing, Strategy or Finance.
- Strong analytic and quantitative skills including P&L responsibilities and accountability.
- Strong people skills are a must and must be able to assimilate into various interdependent working departments.
- Must be a strong team player with ability to develop collaborative relationships with the marketing and sales teams.
- Comfortable with MS office; expert-level Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Experience in setting high growth sales operations functions.
- Experience directly managing a fast-paced Sales Operations Team, implementing, and maintaining internal controls for finance including JSOX.
- Experience working on cross functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects – plan, organize and prioritize.
- Ability to interpret and adjust to situations that involve conflicting goals.
PHYSCIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Typically work is in an office environment where the noise level is low to moderate.
- Requires standing and/or sitting for prolonged periods of time.
- Requires telephone work and/or computer work, as well as interactions with other employees and customers.
- Ability to read, write, listen, and communicate effectively.
- Up to 25% travel is required.
- Carry or move materials and equipment weighing up to 40 lbs. Lift objects of various weights in different directions. Inventory control.
- Working Knowledge of powered industrial trucks and equipment (e.g., lifts, pallet jacks, and aerial platforms).
- Squat and kneel to access materials and equipment in tight or enclosed spaces.
- Handle chemicals.
- Close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
- Communicate with others to exchange information.
- When travel is required, visual acuity to operate motor vehicle in daytime and nighttime.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED and five years of warehousing/shipping/receiving experience including a minimum of 3 years of supervisory/leadership experience.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment dealing with high volumes of materials/finished goods of various sizes.
- Previous Warehouse Management System experience required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
