Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented DME Service Line Manager to spearhead the development and expansion of our DME services. This is a unique opportunity to build a program from the ground up and establish a dominant presence in the Northeastern Wyoming market. You will be responsible for the full spectrum of DME operations, with a strong emphasis on driving revenue growth, market penetration, and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Management:
- Ensure efficient and effective DME operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, delivery logistics, and customer service.
- Oversee daily operations of the DME service line, including equipment procurement, distribution, maintenance, and compliance.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and service quality.
- Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment, including patient equipment setup and education.
- Monitor and optimize inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
2. Compliance & Regulatory Adherence:
- Maintain strict adherence to all relevant regulations and quality standards, ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., CMS, FDA, OSHA, HIPAA).
- Maintain accreditation standards from organizations such as The Joint Commission (TJC) or the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC).
- Conduct regular audits and implement corrective actions for non-compliance issues.
3. Financial & Budgetary Oversight:
- Oversee all financial aspects of the DME service line, including budgeting, cost management, revenue optimization, and profitability analysis. You will be accountable for meeting ambitious financial targets and maximizing return on investment.
- Manage the financial performance of the DME service line, including budgeting, revenue cycle management, and cost containment.
- Monitor key financial metrics (e.g., revenue, expenses, profit margins) and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with billing and reimbursement teams to ensure accurate claims submission and reimbursement for DME services.
4. Vendor & Supplier Relations:
- Establish and maintain relationships with DME manufacturers, distributors, and service providers.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to ensure cost-effective procurement.
- Monitor vendor performance and resolve supply chain issues efficiently.
5. Customer Service & Patient Experience:
- Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing patient concerns and resolving service-related issues.
- Develop patient education programs to enhance proper DME usage and compliance.
- Implement patient satisfaction surveys and feedback mechanisms to drive continuous improvement.
6. Strategic Planning & Growth Initiatives:
- Identify and capitalize on market opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and develop innovative service offerings to expand our reach and customer base.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan to establish the leading DME provider in Northeastern Wyoming, serving both internal and external customers.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, vendors, and healthcare providers to optimize service delivery and build strong relationships.
- Identify opportunities to expand DME services and enhance market share.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to improve operational efficiency and financial outcomes.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in DME management.
Required Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in durable medical equipment management or a related healthcare service line.
- Prior experience in managing a team and overseeing financial performance.
Skills & Competencies:

Preferred Certifications:
- Certified Durable Medical Equipment Specialist (CDME)
- Accredited in Medical Equipment Compliance (AMEC)
- Certified DME Specialist (CMS)
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Office and warehouse setting with occasional patient home visits.
- May require lifting/moving equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent interaction with patients, vendors, and healthcare providers.
