Job Summary:
Hoskinson Contracting LLC is looking to add an experienced HVAC Technician to our team. This individual will work with our construction team to install and maintain HVAC systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. An HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) Technician is a skilled professional who specializes in the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Installation: They are responsible for installing HVAC systems, including heating units, air conditioning units, ventilation systems, ductwork, and related components. This involves reading blueprints, following specifications, and ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of HVAC systems. This includes cleaning and replacing filters, lubricating moving parts, inspecting electrical connections, and testing system performance.
- Repair: When HVAC systems malfunction or break down, diagnose the problem and perform necessary repairs. This may involve replacing faulty components, adjusting settings, and troubleshooting electrical or mechanical issues.
- Troubleshooting: They use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve problems with HVAC systems. This requires a strong understanding of HVAC principles, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
- Refrigerant Handling: handle refrigerants safely and responsibly, including charging and recovering refrigerant in compliance with environmental regulations such as the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) guidelines.
- Customer Service: They often interact with clients to discuss their HVAC needs, provide estimates, explain repair or installation procedures, and address any questions or concerns.
- Safety Compliance: Ensuring safety is paramount in the work of an HVAC Technician. They must follow safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents, injuries, and potential hazards associated with HVAC systems.
- Continuing Education: Staying updated with the latest HVAC technologies, regulations, and industry best practices is essential. Participate in training programs, workshops, or continuing education courses to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- 7 years relevant HVAC Experience
- Master HVAC license or ability to obtain
- Valid Driver’s License
Physical Requirements:
