POSITION PURPOSE: The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct patient care to residents in Skilled, Intermediate, and Hospice Units, utilizing specialized skills in areas like dementia care. The CNA works under the supervision of the Shift Charge Nurse and assists RNs and LPNs with treatments.
Essential Duties
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to lift up to 60 pounds, frequent walking, and transport of residents.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Moderate noise level with potential exposure to blood/body fluids.
Essential Duties
- Perform routine care activities, including grooming and skin care.
- Administer food, fluids, and first aid as needed.
- Facilitate resident participation in activities and document care provided.
- Observe and report changes in resident conditions.
