Job Description:
We are seeking a Board-Certified Locum Psychiatrist to provide high-quality mental health care to children, adolescents, and adults in Wyoming. The ideal candidate must be board-certified in psychiatry and hold or be eligible for a Wyoming medical license. This position is a Monday- Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm outpatient position, no call and no weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and medication management for patients of all ages.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide crisis intervention, psychotherapy, and behavioral health support as needed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists, case managers, and primary care providers.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with state and facility requirements.
- Prescribe medications responsibly, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory guidelines.
- Participate in treatment planning meetings and provide consultation to healthcare teams.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Board Certification in Psychiatry (ABPN or equivalent).
- Active or eligibility for a Wyoming medical license.
- DEA registration with eligibility for Wyoming prescribing.
- Experience treating children, adolescents, and adults in outpatient, inpatient, or telepsychiatry settings.
- Ability to manage diverse psychiatric conditions, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, ADHD, schizophrenia, and PTSD.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a locum tenens role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Fellowship training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (if primarily seeing pediatric patients).
- Experience with telepsychiatry platforms and electronic medical records (EMR).
- Prior experience in locum tenens assignments or multi-setting psychiatric care.

- Must be eligible to be credentialed with all payers
- Must work Monday- Friday 8am -5pm
- Must be open to a 6 month contract or more
- Must see children and adults
- Must close all charts within 24 hours
