16 hours per week, day shift
Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the PACE Transportation Coordinator, the PACE Driver is responsible for the direct transportation of PACE participants to and from their destinations including, but not limited to, transportation to/from the center/day clinic and to/from appointments related to approved PACE covered services. The driver has continuous interaction with participants, caregivers/families and community agencies and plays an integral part in communicating changes in participants to the PACE Transportation Coordinator for input to the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT).

Position Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- 1 year experience transporting individuals with special mobility needs.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with a frail or elderly population or must receive appropriate training upon hire.
- Able to work positively in a diverse and stressful environment.
- Must have, or willing to obtain, first aid training.
- Must maintain CPR certification.
- Must have a valid driver’s license in accordance with policy with proof of automobile insurance required.
- Knowledge of safety and infection control requirements for a healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of automobile and medical equipment use and maintenance.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
