Intake and Enrollment Specialist Position Summary:
The Intake and Enrollment Specialist assists with the intake and enrollment process for potential Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) participants. The specialist will work independently to take inquiries and referrals into the program, gather information, provide an explanation of PACE services and set appointments for assessments, visits and tours. The specialist interacts with family caregivers and potential participants and provides a tour through the PACE center as needed and gathers critical information for the new participant enrollment process including documents for Medicaid applications as well as other necessary intake and enrollment paperwork.

Intake and Enrollment Specialist Position Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- 3 years of experience in an administrative or office role; experience in a medical setting preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with a frail or elderly population or must receive appropriate training upon hire.
- Working knowledge of principles and practices of healthcare, healthcare systems, managed care, Medicare and Medicaid benefits and regulations preferred.
- Experience with data entry and database management using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems or equivalent systems a plus.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Able to work independently and as an effective member of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, with an ability to adapt communication style to a wide variety of audiences and strategies.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize, coordinate and multi-task with high level of quality and productivity and maintain numerous initiatives with time sensitivity.
- Able to work positively in a diverse and stressful environment.
- Valid Driver’s license and an acceptable driving record required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to travel throughout the PACE service area.
