Hospeace House, located in Naples, is a two-bed comfort care home where we provide support and compassionate care to individuals who are on hospice and nearing end of life.
Position Summary
The Resident Care Specialist is responsible for ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of residents during their stay at Hospeace House. This role includes providing attentive care, maintaining a supportive and clean environment, and fostering a home-like atmosphere.
Primary Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to resident calls, buzzers, or requests from family members.
- Provide compassionate care to residents throughout the night, offering support such as companionship, reassurance, or refreshments as needed.
- Complete advanced-care training, demonstrating proficiency and the ability to redemonstrate skills to designated evaluator.
- Exercise sound judgment in identifying and escalating issues when necessary.
- Collaborate with daytime staff and volunteers to ensure seamless transitions, assisting with evening or morning resident care tasks.
- Use available time to perform domestic tasks, including preparing snacks, cleaning, and laundry.
- Follow residents’ care plans, address their specific needs, and report any changes in condition as directed.
- Administer prescribed medications as documented in resident chart, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to training protocols.
- Maintain clear and open communication with the Director and/or Care Coordinator regarding residents’ conditions and developments within the home, both verbally and in writing.
- Promote a safe, tidy, and welcoming environment, cultivating a caring, home-like atmosphere.
- Welcome night visitors courteously, verifying identification in accordance with the security policy.
- Answer telephone calls, take messages as needed, and adhere to confidentiality policies.
- Uphold a positive attitude, approachable demeanor, and prioritize the needs of residents at all times.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
