Now Hiring – Assistant Clinical Director (Topeka, KS)
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
A well-established hospice organization is seeking an experienced and compassionate Assistant Clinical Director to support the clinical leadership of our team in the Topeka, KS region. This position plays a key role in overseeing regional interdisciplinary teams (IDT) and ensuring high-quality care delivery to patients and families.
Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Lead and participate in regular IDT meetings
Review and revise patient and family care plans
Collaborate with clinical management to address care delivery issues and recommend policy or procedural updates
Supervise maintenance of medical records, ensuring compliance with clinical, legal, and ethical standards
Monitor and review clinical documentation and support teams in meeting audit and quality standards
Conduct supervisory visits and observe performance of team members
Build and maintain strong relationships with partnering facilities
Coordinate coverage for on-call and staff absences
Support staff development and provide leadership guidance to regional personnel
Meet census, admissions, and referral conversion goals
Collaborate with community education and outreach teams to support growth and development of the region
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Current RN license in the state of Kansas
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a professional nurse; hospice experience strongly preferred
CHPN certification is a plus
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Ability to travel as needed
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
