Special Events Coordinator
Full-Time
8am - 5pm or 8am - 4:30pm
After 6 months - open to discussing (not a guarantee) working from home 1-2 days/week
Job Summary
Assists with coordination of fundraising and special events for the Development department.
Essential Functions
Assists with special events, including but not limited to Spring Fling, Labor Day Auction, Wine, Dine & Unwind, and Light Up a Life.
Provides administrative support to event subcommittees.
Part of a team responsible for meeting special events revenue and expense targets.
Responsible for cultivation and solicitation of a portfolio of event sponsors and auction item donors.
Ensures timely communication and response to inquiries from donor prospects, sponsors, individual donors, volunteers, and the community at large.
Enters and tracks relevant donor, attendee and sponsor information related to special events in donor Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and event software.
Assists with generating requested statistical data, budgets, revenue reports and sponsorship progress related to special events.
Responsible for maintaining actions and contact information in donor CRM and event software for events, event attendees and sponsorship contacts as well as all communication with those entities.
Works with volunteer services department to schedule and coordinate volunteers for all development events and activities.
Communicates with and trains volunteers on all assigned activities.
Provides support for special fundraising initiatives of the organization as needed including but not limited to Women’s Giving Circle and select Hospice of Central PA fundraising events.
Provides office and phone coverage in the development department as needed
Qualifications
Three years of experience in event planning required.
Experience In Fundraising Events Is Preferred.
Experience with Raiser’s Edge and Greater Giving is preferred.
Able to comfortably lift 25 pounds and climb a small ladder or utilize a step stool.
Valid driver’s license
