JOB SUMMARY

The Clinical Supervisor, under the direction of the Hospice Nurse Manager, is responsible for the day-to-day clinical activities of the Hospice multidisciplinary team. Ensures that staff provides high quality, accessible, cost-effective and patient-centered care according to acceptable clinical and agency standards of practice. Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and Joint Commission standards. Assists in the coordination of home health services provided to Hospice patients through documentation review and managing clinical workflow tasks in the Home Care Electronic Health Record (EHR). with Hospice leadership in the development and implementation of departmental goals, financial performance, patient safety and performance improvement activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
-
Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of recent relevant clinical experience; verifiable clinical competence.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current license in Minnesota to practice as a registered nurse; Wisconsin RN license within ninety (90) days of employment. BLS Certification with a designation of either BLS Provider or Healthcare Provider from either the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or Military Training Network. Wisconsin Background Study upon hire and renewed per Wisconsin state law.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or its equivalent in a related field.

Experience: Minimum of three (3) years nursing experience to include skilled Hospice experience. Previous supervisory experience.
