Position Available: On-Call Registered Nurse
Responsibility Overview:
- Coordinates services for the care of the hospice patients after hours.
- Available to perform terminal event calls, document as required, perform post-mortem care, dispose of medications per protocol, and provide support to family.
- Makes visits with changes in condition and documents visits and phone calls on an ongoing basis for the clinical record. All documentation to be completed according to time frame set in policy.
- Reviews, updates and evaluates the Nursing care plan, medication administration sheet and Patient Care Aide Assignment Plan as frequently as the severity of the patient's condition requires.
- Provides support to family members in the period of bereavement in coordination with other team members.
- Assumes responsibility for the development of Interdisciplinary Care Plan on patients admitted after hours.
- Reports change of status to team for appropriate billing.
Schedule: Physically able to maintain on-call status from Monday at 4:30 pm until the following Friday at 8:00 am. Call hours during week consist of 4:30 pm until 8 am.

Pay: $37.00 - $40.00 per hour
