What are the responsibilities and job description for the Weekend On-Call Nurse position at HOSPICE OF EL PASO, INC?
Hospice El Paso is the only non-profit hospice organization in the city. We are the oldest (34 years) and largest hospice in the community. We were founded by El Pasoans for the sole purpose of providing specialized care, comfort, and support to persons with a terminal illness, regardless of their ability to pay.
Our focus is maximizing the remaining quality of life for the dying, while also providing support for their caregivers and loved ones. Specialized teams provide compassionate comfort and care and are comprised of physicians, registered nurses (RNs), certified nursing assistants, social workers, chaplains, plus admissions counselors and support staff.
Most of these services are provided at home. Hospice care can also be provided in nursing, foster, and assisted living homes, along with rehabilitation centers and skilled nursing facilities.
The “Center for Compassionate Care” is the city's first stand-alone “hospice in-patient facility.” We provide acute hospice care in a quiet and comfortable setting. In this home-like setting, patients receive 24-hours of specialized skilled care when pain and symptoms cannot be managed in a home environment.
Become a part of our team – we are passion-driven and caring professionals, committed to excellence. We are Hospice El Paso!
