Summary:
The Fund Development Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and coordination of all fundraising events and activities.
Responsibilities of the Fund Development Coordinator include but are not limited to:
- Assists with the coordination of all fundraising events and activities with appropriate special committees and staff.
- Prepares reports and monitors results of fundraising events and activities.
- Represents Hospice of Holland in a positive, professional manner in the community at all times.
- Works with Hospice of Holland finance staff to ensure timely and appropriate applications for all state and local licenses as needed for fundraising events and activities.
- As donations administrator works with the Fund Development Manager to assure that appropriate record keeping systems are in order for tracking donor participation, identification and cultivation of prospects and reporting.
- Assists Fund Development Manager in maintaining existing donor relationships and participates in activities to cultivate new donors within the Hospice of Holland service area.
- Participates in donor and community education opportunities to educate both on current programs and services offered by Hospice of Holland.
- Assist Director of Business Development with marketing communications and materials to promote the Hospice and Palliative care missions, e.g., press releases, articles, brochures, etc.
Position Qualifications:
- Minimum of a bachelors degree in business with emphasis in marketing and/or communications preferred.
- Minimum of two years of prior experience in a related field.
- Prior not for profit experience is desirable.
- Excellent communication, public relations, and organizational skills.
- Autonomous, assertive, flexible, and cooperative.
- Proficiency utilizing technology including Microsoft Office Suite products.
