At Cornerstone Hospice, we lead patient care with compassion and advocacy for comfort, dignity and choice. We are seeking an experienced and professional Registered Nurse to work with our care team as a On Call Registered Nurse Runner. This position will care for patients residing in private homes and LTC facilities in Lake and Sumter counties. Local travel is required and we offer mileage reimbursement.

Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursdays; 5:300pm - 8am
Description: The On Call RN Runner assumes responsibility upon dispatch for after –hours’ requests for on-site support. Evaluates and determines the need for clinical and other services including assessments, symptom management and care plan updates, documenting in Allscripts (EMR) and coordinating these with appropriate Cornerstone Hospice staff members. Obtains data on current or potential physical, psychological, social and spiritual factors that may impact patient and family’s needs and initiate intervention by other members of the interdisciplinary team, as appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Valid Florida RN license.
- Prefer three years of clinical experience or Hospice preceptorship program
- Valid Florida driver’s license and required auto liability insurance.
