II. Essential Functions

III. Physical Requirements: Performs repetitive tasks. Prolonged periods of sitting or standing. Requires clarity of vision, >20 inches and < 20 feet. Manual dexterity (eye/hand coordination). Hears alarm and telephone. Bending at waist and knee frequently. Required lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally.
IV. Working Conditions: The Team Clerk spends approximately 99% of his/her time in an air-conditioned environment with a varying exposure to humidity and noise.
- Position Summary: The Team Clerk, under the supervision of the Clinical Office Coordinator, is responsible for acting as a customer services liaison between patients, families and community individuals and the Clinical Service Manager/Clinical Team. This position is also responsible for performing clerical and computer functions pertaining to clinical records, and assisting the clinical team with patients and families.
- Pay: $18.74 Hourly
- Part-Time Non-Exempt Position, 20 hours a week.
- Normal office hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Will be based out of our Marion Patient Services Office.

I. Position Requirements
a. Education
1. Graduate of an accredited high school.
2. Associate Degree in related field preferred.
b. Experience
1. Five (5) years clerical and computer experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.
2. Medical records background preferred.
3. Experience with the following equipment: personal computer, copier and fax machine.
c. Other Qualifications
1. Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail.
2. Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
3. Exceptional organizational skills required.
4. Type accurately with a speed of at least 45 wpm.
5. Knowledgeable with Microsoft software.
6. Excellent telephone skills.
7. Ability to stand for long periods of time.
8. Have reliable transportation in order to travel to other Hospice of Southern Illinois multiple locations.
