The Hospice Medical Director collaborates with the hospice Chief Medical Officer, hospice physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and the inter-disciplinary team in providing world-class hospice medical care to patients in accordance with federal regulations and the strategic direction set by the board of directors. Some travel required within service area.This position will be located in Fargo, ND and will provide support to both our home-based hospice services as well as rotational support in our brand-new state-of-the-art and first ever in North Dakota, Hospice Inpatient Unit - Heather's House.Essential FunctionsPartners with the medical director in providing medical expertise for : Standards of medical care for hospice patientsEligibility and ineligibility of referred patientsDisease management and pain and symptom management of hospice patientsDirect medical care to hospice patientsPhysician-to-physician relationships and leadershipClinical and public education regarding hospice careGuidance to hospice NP or nurse as they provide direct patient careBenefits : HRRV offers a robust benefits package for qualifying full-time and part-time employees.
