Position: Medical Social Worker
Direct Supervisor: Hospice Supervisor
Status: Non-exempt/Hourly
Starting Pay: $32.37 to $48.55/hour (based on experience)
Mileage Reimbursed at $0.67/mile

Position Summary: The Medical Social Worker provides medical social services under the direction of a physician. Utilizing their advanced educational background and clinical expertise, the Medical Social Worker provides a wide range of services to home-bound, terminally-ill patients and families while consistently exercising judgment and discretion to determine the patient and family’s unique spiritual/ cultural beliefs, strengths, coping skills, and pre-bereavement and anticipatory grief needs. This position will serve primarily Hospice patients and families, but may assist Home Health patients and families.
Requirements
- Knowledge of the professional and ethical standards set forth by governing bodies
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) required
- LCSW preferred
- One year minimum social work experience in a health care setting
- Current licensure and / or certification as required by the State
- Automobile equipped to drive in winter mountain driving conditions
