JOB SUMMARY
This position is for a Director of Medical Practices whose responsibility is to provide oversight and leadership of multiple physician practices and plans, administers, directs and coordinates all operational, business and clinical activities to meet the clinical mission of Liberty Regional Medical Center and to achieve its financial objectives. Addresses and resolves all issues pertaining to practice operations. Demonstrates visibility and builds trust among all organizational personnel, physicians and mid-level providers under employment or management, manage the revenue cycle; manages and integrates the practices with support services provided by departments of the organization; promotes the use of information technology and practice management software systems; establishes and maintains budgets for all practices; participates in physician/midlevel recruitment efforts for Liberty Regional Medical Center, converts newly acquired practices and/or start-up new practices for organization. The position reports to the Chief Executive Officer.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum level of Education: Education level equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college. Bachelor’s degree in management or healthcare preferred.
Formal Training: Experience in Medical Insurance Billing and Collections. Intermediate computer experience with word processing and spreadsheet capabilities preferred.
Licensure, Certifications & Registration: Certified Patient Account Representative (CPAR) preferred but not required.
Work Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in working, developing and managing rural health clinics; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
