JOB SUMMARY
This position is for a Medical Records Technician at Coastal Manor Nursing Home whose responsibility is to assist in the organization and coordination of the daily activities within the Long Term Care Department. The position maintains necessary files and coordinates the flow of clerical activities in the department. The position is responsible for the coordination and organizing, planning, and auditing of medical records. The position reports to the Chief Long Term Care Officer (Nursing Home Administrator).
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum level of Education: Education level equivalent to completion of four (4) years of high school preferred.
Formal Training: Clerical experience preferred. Completion of Medical Terminology preferred.
Licensure, Certifications & Registration: None required.
Work Experience: Basic clerical skills, to include filing, customer service, and basic verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills required. Prior experience working in a nursing home/healthcare business office or Medical Records preferred.
