What are the responsibilities and job description for the Linen Courier position at Hospital Central Services, Inc.?
The HCSC Linen Transporter is responsible for storing and distributing linen for hospital facility. The transporter conducts herself/himself in a courteous and professional manner at all time, and complies with all HCSC and hospital policies.
Essential Job Functions/Duties and Responsibilities
- Pack clean linen orders into carts for distribution. Cut string/tie from the linen bundles and gather the string to put in the garbage receptacle.
- Clean Distribution
- Distribute filled linen carts to appropriate areas within the facility and completely par stock the assigned patient care units/ancillary areas as required.
- Soil Pickup
- Retrieves soiled linen carts from facility areas to soil room/return empty soil carts to areas.
- Record Keeping
- Record information accurately on all paperwork and input data into tracking program.
- Linen Room
- Store clean linen on shelves, after verifying numbers and types of items; keeps linen room in clean and orderly condition.
- Provides support and assists with other tasks across the organization.
Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $ 16.07/hour
Schedule:

2-3 days a week including every other weekend

530am-2pm on a weekend

6am-230 on a weekday

Training/Orientation: 430am-1pm and 5am-130pm
