The inpatient day Technician works with our clinical team, doctors, and anesthesiologist to provide exceptional care to post-op patients. The role will have an element of task flexibility and will cover the inpatient population, sedated procedures, and discharges.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / REQUIRED SKILLS :
Monitoring patient recovery, ensuring our standard of client and patient experience is met
Placing and maintaining intravenous, central, arterial, and urinary catheters
Maintaining feeding tubes and chest tubes
Monitoring patients requiring oxygen supplementation and transfusions
Patient care inclusive of pre and post outpatient surgical care- Obtaining blood samples, removing sutures, placing bandages
REQUIREMENTS :
Licensure in New York State required
2 years of experience as a Licensed Veterinary Technician
Critical Care or ICU experience a plus
Experience with practice management software, ezyVet preferred
Adaptability, being able to pivot effortlessly while demonstrating a positive attitude with clients and co-workers
Expert time management skills
Highly organized and acute attention to detail
Sound judgment with the ability to work ethically, independently, and responsibly
Resourceful and collaborative problem resolution skills
Strong and respectful written and verbal communication skills
Dedication to excellent service for each client and patient
Openness to feedback, coaching, and continuous learning
WHAT WE OFFER : 32 - $39 / hr.
7,500 sign-on bonus
Consistent 4-day (10 hr) work week Monday – Friday
