Emergency Technician

• Emergency Technician-17 bed unit. Steppingstone into nursing field, so basic healthcare exposure helpful as you will be handling vitals, EKG, splinting, ADLs, help to bathroom, transport patients, behavioral health sitter, etc. in a high volume environment.  The leader likes to grow their own within the department, very hands on, hospital located on crossroads of 2 major interstates so you will see a lot of trauma/high acuity patients
• Part-Time Night Shift (2x12 7:00pm-7:00am). Every other weekend rotation, holiday rotation, no call. Can be flexible to work around school schedule
• Shift Differentials: $1.50 evening 3-11pm, $2.00 night 11pm-7am, $1.00 Sat and Sun on top of base rate

Performs patient care under the direction of a registered nurse. Greets, assists, and directs patients and visitors and monitors activity to establish a friendly caring environment. Provides care for patients according to the standards of care specific to age and the individual's needs. May collect blood samples and process specimens. Maintains a safe, clean, and well-equipped environment.

Education

High School Diploma, GED or related vocational training is required.

Experience

1 year healthcare experience is preferred.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

Basic Life Support (BLS) is required within 30 days upon hire.

EMT (Emergency Medical Technician), CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant), or PCT (Patient Care Technician) certification is preferred.
