HSHS IL Surgical Tech Scholars is provided by the HSHS Illinois Division for educational expenses up to a maximum of $10,000. By the acceptance of funds, recipients are obligated to work at an HSHS IL hospital upon graduation. The length of minimum time commitment with an HSHS IL hospital is dependent on the level of funds the HSHS IL Scholar chooses in the interview process. For the entirety of the commitment, the recipient must maintain full-time status as a Surgical Tech. HSHS IL hospitals offer dynamic and engaging surgical technician experiences that will positively impact the student's ability to provide competent and high quality care to patients.
