What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sacramental Priest Chaplain position at Hospital Sisters Health System?
All the duties and responsibilities of Sacramental Priest Chaplain will be performed in a manner that reflects and models the values of Hospital. Primary responsibility of a Sacramental Priest Chaplain includes possessing the advanced knowledge and ability to apply consistent exercise of discretion and judgment by ministering to the spiritual, psychological, and emotional needs of patients/families while adhering to the teachings and practices of the Roman Catholic Church. Sacramental Priest Chaplain provides appropriate sacramental ministry and assigned worship services.
Qualifications
Education
Presbyterial Ordination.
At least 1 unit of Clinical Pastoral Education is preferred.
Incardinated as a priest of the Diocese respective to the hospital priest provides ministry at.
Experience
1 year of clinical training or parish experience is preferred.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
Certification by the National Association of Professional Chaplains or the Association of Professional Chaplains within 3 years is preferred.
