What are the responsibilities and job description for the Trauma Coordinator position at Hospital Sisters Health System?
Under the direction of the Trauma Medical Director, is responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing and evaluating all activities of the trauma program. Integrates the program with other departments/areas in the hospital ensuring consistency and quality in the delivery of care to all trauma patients who present to the hospital and acting liaison between the Trauma Service and other hospital departments, local hospitals, emergency services providers, other trauma centers in the area and the community.
Qualifications
Education
Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice is required.
Experience
3 years Emergency Services/Trauma or critical care nursing experience is required.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice is required.
Trauma Nurse Specialist (TNS) credential is required in IL.
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) credential is required for WI within 12 months of hire.
Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required in IL.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is required in IL.
