What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elementary Teacher (K-6) position at Hospitality House Youth Development?
Hospitality House Youth Development (HHYD) is seeking an Elementary Teacher to join our Urban Learning Center’s afterschool and summer programs. This part-time role involves teaching, lesson planning, and activity coordination for classroom students.
After School Program: Supports K-9th grade students with homework and academic skill-building from 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM.
Summer Program: Engages K-9th grade students in all-day sessions. Mornings focus on academics, while afternoons feature activities such as field trips, tours, arts, and STEM projects.

Qualifications
- Licensed teacher or 1-2 years of youth development experience.
- Effective classroom management skills.
- Commitment to working with urban youth in a dynamic, supportive setting.
- Active and growing faith in Jesus Christ and agreement with HHYD’s Statement of Faith.
