Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to join our dynamic team in the Syracuse, New York area. The HR Generalist will support various HR functions, including employee relations, performance management, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR best practices and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
· Employee Relations:
o Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
o Facilitate conflict resolution and promote positive employee relations.
· Performance Management:
o Assist in the development and implementation of performance management systems.
o Support managers in conducting performance appraisals and addressing performance issues.
.Compliance:
o Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
o Maintain accurate HR records and prepare required reports.
· HR Projects:
o Participate in HR projects and initiatives to improve HR processes and employee experience.
Educational Requirements:
· Associates degree or 4 years experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
· Professional HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is preferred.
Experience Requirements:
· 3 years of experience in a Human Resources role, with a broad understanding of HR functions.
· Knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
· Experience with HR software and systems (e.g., HRIS, ATS) is a plus.
