This role suits an individual who has previously worked in an upscale, free-standing, trendy, cocktail bar or restaurant. The Director of Restaurant and Mixology is an advocate and ambassador of stellar service creating memories. Proactively tending to the needs of our guests through attention to detail, positive guest interactions, and knowledge of mixology and restaurant operations. A key component of this role will be an outgoing genuine personality who can multi-task and lead and inspire the team. The Director of Restaurant and Mixology will keenly understand financial responsibilities, driving business through marketing and restaurant/bar trends.
They must have Mastery in crafting a wide range of cocktails, understanding flavor profiles, and possess extensive in-depth knowledge of spirits, domestic and international wines as well as liquors and spirits with emphasis on Tequila & Mescal
Must have experience working with a wide range of ingredients, including spirits, mixers, and garnishes, to ensure each cocktail is prepared with precision and flair. This role will require collaboration with other staff/departments to enhance the overall dining and bar experience, ensuring that each drink complements the ambiance and menu offerings.
Qualifications:
Must be detail oriented, and thorough, have the ability to communicate well with all levels within and outside the organization, and be able to problem-solve with team members and guests.
Must be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with Beverage Control, inventory management, and maintaining a clean work environment
At least 5 years of cocktail Bar/Upscale Restaurant Experience in Crafting and serving a wide range of cocktails, from classic recipes to innovative, custom creations tailored to individual customer preferences
A self-starting personality with an even disposition and ability to multi-task & function in a high-paced environment
Extraordinary creativity and innovation skills
Knowledge of food and beverage and the ability to forecast trends
Experience with developing cocktails, mixes, and garnishes that can be executed in high-volume
Ability to have a flexible schedule that includes weekends, holidays, and evenings
Must be a hands-on leader
Unionized labor management experience preferred
Knowledge of Micros & Computers Preferred
Physical: Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds consistently throughout the shift.
Education: Hospitality College Degree or Certification in Mixology or a related field preferred but not required
Incentive offered bi-annual
Salary : $95,000 - $100,000
