What are the responsibilities and job description for the Property Maintenance Worker I position at HospitalityCareersSite?
The Dream Inn, Santa Cruz is currently seeking the right candidate to fill their Maintenance Engineer position. The ideal candidate will provide stability to Hotel operations by performing preventative maintenance and by responding to work orders and guest calls. Accountable for responding to the day to day maintenance requests that come through work order or the ALICE system. Always maintains the highest possible performance standards to satisfy the needs of the guest. The schedule will be primarily nights and weekends, shifts from 3pm-11pm.
1. Preventative maintenance: making rounds in guest and mechanical rooms.
2. Checking on operating features of equipment and guest amenities.
3. Plumbing, snake drains, replace shower tub and sink fixtures, do simple repairs and replacement in galvanized, ABS, PVC, copper.
4. Carpentry: perform essential bracing and finish work on railings, sink supports, door frames.
5. Record maintenance of guest room and mechanical rounds, follow-up and response to work not possible earlier or accountability.
6. Responding to ALICE calls and work orders. Provide prompt thorough courteous service both to other departments and guests.
7. Check all light fixtures in guest rooms.
8. Check all door hardware in rooms.
9. Check all plumbing fixtures in room.
10. Check T.V. and radio operation in room.
11. Do minor paint touch-up in guest room.
12. Perform regular maintenance on heaters and fans.
13. Use cleansers and snakes to keep plumbing clean.
14. Perform phone checks.
15. Check light bulbs of all types on property.
16. Perform basic repairs on mechanical equipment.
17. Repair vacuums/kitchen equipment.
18. Respond to guest requests immediately.
19. Maintain teamwork and communications first.
20. Other maintenance or construction projects as needed.
