The Sales & Marketing Coordinator position will support the sales team from an administrative perspective as well as assist the General Manager with any administrative support-related needs. The position supports the work of the sales and marketing team to better promote the hotel to potential clients. They will assist the Director of Sales & Marketing with any marketing-related materials, on-property events, social media, collaborations, campaigns, and promotion. In addition to the performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the supportive functions in other departments. The position will also provide administrative support to Fuego and the Hotel Operations Team when needed and will handle guest phone calls & general inquiries.
Specific Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability:
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Prior hotel experience preferred.
Basic knowledge of the hotel structure/layout and how all departments interact.
Highly organized individual with strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to diffuse anger, collect accurate information, and resolve conflicts.
Quantitative processing of data via office machine equipment, mathematical computations, and analytical skills necessary to accurately determine and communicate financial, forecasting, and other report-related data and information.
Proficiency in the use and operation of computer systems with the ability to navigate efficiently through social media, Monday.com, Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Delphi.fdc, OnQ.
Ability to read, write, and speak the English language to fully comprehend guest requests, memos, proposals, general correspondence, and similar written materials.
Ability to complete a contract in compliance with all checklists, standards, and hotel policies.
Interpersonal skills to provide overall guest satisfaction.
Assist with answering telephones, using fax machines, guest response, and maintaining sales files & customer data.
