Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team for a local contract job in Poughkeepsie, New York. As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using imaging modalities such as X-rays, CT scans, and ultrasounds.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using various imaging modalities.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort.
- Operate imaging equipment, including X-ray machines, CT scanners, and ultrasound devices.
- Analyze images and data to diagnose medical conditions.
- Maintain patient records, including test results and medical histories.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
Requirements
- Current ARRT certification in Radiography (R)
- Current registration with the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in interventional radiology
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
