What are the responsibilities and job description for the House Cleaner-Short Term Rental position at Host my Home LLC?
Looking for an experienced cleaner to join our growing small business!
-This would be a part time job-$21-$25/hr depending on experience plus a gas stipend. It would be about 10-20 hours per week. Hours would be variable and sometimes 10 hours one week and 20 the next. Hours vary, but are flexible. Cleans must be done by 3:30 PM to ensure they are ready for check-in’s and can begin as early as 10 AM, after checkouts. There is room for growth and potential leadership roles. Reliable transportation, reliability and attention to detail are a must. Must be willing to commute between Virginia Beach, Norfolk and surrounding areas for jobs as-needed. Technology proficiency is a must and general understanding of apps.
Basic description of job:
-Cleaning of furnished homes in between turns for short term rentals. This will include, but is not limited to wiping down/disinfecting all surfaces, sweeping/vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents and fans, bathroom cleaning, appliances, windows and blinds, changing sheets, laundry as needed, running and unloading dishwasher, clean grills as needed, etc.
-Utilize companies checklist for cleaning and turnovers-phone will be required for this
-Quality check after guests during turnover times for maintenance issues, missing or damaged items, etc and report as necessary
-Restock the home with supplies for the next rental
-Ability to complete light maintenance as needed (changing batteries, air filters, lightbulbs, tightening furniture etc).
-Make runs for supplies as needed
-Follow all health and safety regulations including proper use of PPE, chemicals, and equipment
-This job will require flexibility as we never know what kind of adventure will come that day, but it always does. This job has a lot of last minute scheduling changes, so flexibility in scheduling is required. Applicant should not be scared of getting their hands dirty if needed and being handy is a big plus for normal household fixes. Keeping a calm composure and coming up with creative solutions in short timeframes is necessary. Turnovers are almost always same day and we often don’t know about problems until that day. Hospitality experience and attention to detail is a big plus as exceptional quality and personal touches are what keep our properties getting their superhost badge!
-This job would be part time and would start ASAP.
-This is a 1099 position.
-Background check and drug test is required.
