Barista - Must have experience (Onsite Only / No Relocation)

We are looking for a friendly, customer-oriented Barista & Cashier to join our team. As a Barista & Cashier, you will play a key role in creating an exceptional coffee experience for our customers by preparing high-quality coffee beverages, assisting with food and drink orders, and providing excellent customer service. You will also manage cash register transactions, process payments, and ensure the smooth operation of the front-of-house.

Key Responsibilities:

• Barista Duties:
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, including espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, and other beverages with attention to quality and presentation.
• Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment to prepare drinks.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the barista station, including restocking supplies and keeping the work area clean.
• Follow all recipes, procedures, and standards for beverage preparation.
• Ensure that beverages meet customer preferences and specifications.
• Cashier Duties:
• Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately.
• Process customer transactions using a cash register or POS system.
• Handle cash, credit card, and mobile payments, and provide correct change.
• Maintain accurate and balanced cash drawer throughout the shift.
• Assist with menu inquiries, recommend products, and answer customer questions.
• Customer Service:
• Provide friendly, efficient, and attentive service to all customers.
• Address customer complaints or concerns in a positive and professional manner.
• Ensure that customers have a pleasant experience and leave satisfied.
• General Responsibilities:
• Work as a team to ensure the smooth operation of the café.
• Ensure health and safety standards are met, including food handling and cleanliness.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning, restocking, and prepping for the next shift.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and notify management when items need to be reordered.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Barista, Cashier, or in a customer service role is preferred but not required.
• Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
• Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and a passion for coffee is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality service.
• Friendly, approachable, and reliable.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday, with Weekend availability
• 6am - 2:30pm
