We are looking for a friendly and customer-focused Customer Service Associate to join our team. As a key member of the staff, you will be responsible for providing excellent service to students, staff, and visitors. Your primary duties will include assisting customers with menu selections, taking orders, handling food service, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a positive and enjoyable dining experience for all.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in a warm, friendly, and efficient manner.
- Take customer orders and accurately record them
- Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including serving stations, dining areas, and food preparation areas.
- Handle cash, process transactions, and provide accurate change or process card payments.
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, restocking items as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Answer customer questions regarding the menu, nutritional information, or ingredients.
- Assist with setting up food stations, preparing food items, and cleaning up after service.
- Help ensure a welcoming and friendly environment for all cafeteria guests.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth workflow and excellent customer service.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to the manager promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Previous experience in customer service or food service is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high levels of customer service.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and cash handling.
- Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from supervisors.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (preferred).
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends or evenings
